From the Mediterranean charm of Alexandria to the golden sands of Hurghada, this journey covers the very best of the Land of the Pharaohs.
Your journey begins at Cairo International Airport. Our representative meets you before the immigration counters to handle your entry visa. A private driver whisks you to your 5-star hotel in Giza. Settle into your room and enjoy your first view of the Pyramids from your balcony. In the evening, join your guide for a welcome dinner featuring traditional Egyptian "Mezze".
Wake up to the sun rising over the Giza Plateau. Your private Egyptologist leads you to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last remaining ancient wonder. You will have the chance to enter the pyramid and explore its inner chambers. Visit the Panorama area for the best photos of all three pyramids together. Descend to the Valley Temple to stand face-to-face with the Great Sphinx.
Spend your morning at the world’s largest archaeological museum, the GEM. Marvel at the complete Tutankhamun collection, including his famous gold mask. In the afternoon, travel to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser. This is the oldest stone structure in history. Explore the nearby Serapeum, a mysterious underground tomb for sacred bulls.
Travel north to the coastal city of Alexandria. Start at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a unique blend of Egyptian and Roman art. Visit the site of the ancient Lighthouse at the Qaitbay Citadel. After a fresh Mediterranean seafood lunch, explore the ultra-modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Return to Cairo for the night.
Catch a short morning flight to Aswan. Visit the High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering that tamed the Nile. Take a motorboat to the Island of Philae to explore the stunning Temple of Isis. This temple was moved stone by stone to save it from the rising waters. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful felucca ride around Elephantine Island.
Embark on a private early-morning journey to Abu Simbel. Stand before the four massive statues of Ramses II carved directly into the mountainside. Learn how this entire complex was relocated in a global rescue effort. Return to Aswan to board your deluxe 5-star Nile Cruise. Enjoy lunch on board as the ship begins its journey north.
Relax on the sun deck as the ship sails toward Kom Ombo. Visit the rare double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Back on the ship, continue sailing to Edfu. In the evening, ride a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved temple in all of Egypt.
Cross to the West Bank of Luxor, the "City of the Dead". Descend into the lavishly decorated tombs of the pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Your ticket includes entry to three royal tombs plus the legendary Tomb of Tutankhamun. Visit the stunning terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon.
Explore the massive Karnak Temple complex, a forest of 134 giant columns. Walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes that once connected Karnak to Luxor Temple. After a quick visit to the illuminated Luxor Temple, leave the Nile Valley. A private car takes you across the Eastern Desert to Hurghada. Check into your all-inclusive Red Sea resort for four nights of luxury.
The next four days are yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace. You can snorkel among the vibrant coral reefs of Giftun Island or try scuba diving in the crystal-clear water. For those seeking adventure, take a 4x4 desert safari to a Bedouin village for tea and stargazing. Alternatively, simply lounge by the infinity pool and enjoy the world-class dining at your resort.
Fly from Hurghada back to Cairo for your final night. Visit the Saladin Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, which dominates the city skyline. Explore the historic Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo. Finish your tour navigating the labyrinthine alleys of the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar to find unique silver, spices, and lanterns.
